Welcome to HonestyPot. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using HonestyPot, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Definitions

• "Service" refers to the HonestyPot marketplace platform
• "User" refers to anyone who accesses or uses the Service
• "Producer" refers to sellers offering products through the Service
• "Consumer" refers to buyers purchasing products through the Service
• "Content" refers to all information, data, text, images, and materials on the Service

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of our Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. Use of Service

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

5. Marketplace Terms

For Consumers:

• Transactions are between you and the Producer directly
• HonestyPot facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the sale
• Product quality, delivery, and customer service are the Producer's responsibility
• Refunds and returns are subject to the Producer's policies
• Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe

For Producers:

• You must provide accurate product descriptions and pricing
• You are responsible for fulfilling orders promptly
• You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• You are responsible for food safety and quality standards
• Platform fees are deducted from each transaction (8% + 30p)
• You must maintain appropriate insurance and licenses

6. Payments and Fees

All payments are processed through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. HonestyPot charges a platform fee of 8% + 30p per transaction, which is deducted from the Producer's payout.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by HonestyPot and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you upload, but grant us a license to use, store, and display it as necessary to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HonestyPot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
